防爆冷库设计比常规冷库要求严格、精细、安全；防爆冷库根据储存物品的类型不同，防爆等级也不同，普通防爆冷库等级只要内风机马达更换为防爆马达，电气控制箱为防爆电气箱，库内照明为防爆灯，开关为防爆开关即可；防爆冷库直接用于有爆炸性气体的危险场所，作贮存与运输危险品用。防爆冷库主要应用于化工、电子、香精香料、酒精、乙醇等易燃易爆危险产品。
